Customer Service Communities

Providing customer service is a very important function of every agency. We’re looking to bring you together to network with peers from other agencies and to help resolve critical customer service-related issues.

Government Customer Service Community of Interest

You helped us identify major issues facing agencies during our 2007 Government-Wide Assessment of Citizen Service Activities. To respond to these issues, we're sponsoring a community of interest of customer service professionals. Members will be part of working groups, jointly developing recommendations for problems that are important to them.

  • Meet peers and learn how other agencies deal with the challenges they face
  • Contribute to recommendations for how agencies can address and overcome major challenges
  • Gain recognition in the government as someone active in this community of your peers

We'll ensure that those who contribute to these working groups receive public acknowledgement for their efforts, as well as giving them a forum to help influence how USA Services and customer service functions across the government respond to the ever-changing political and budget landscape.

If you manage or support a customer service function in your agency, we encourage you to sign up for membership.

Government Contact Center Council

Contact center leaders responding to our 2007 Government-wide Assessment said they would benefit greatly from networking regularly with their peers. So, we're going to bring you together monthly to

  • Meet your peers
  • Learn how other agencies work through day-to-day planning and operational issues
  • Share research and best practices
  • Ask peers for advice and share what works well for you and what doesn't
  • Meet industry leaders
  • Gain recognition in the government as a leader in the contact center management community

If you're leading a contact center in the federal government that receives 5,000 contacts or more per month, contact the Council Chair, Robert Smudde, to sign up.
